Restaurants
I promise you there won't be a bad restaurant you try. Below are four restaurants I would recommend. The first is a little restaurant just down the street from Residence Zumbini. It is amazingly priced with surprisingly good food too! The staff is so nice and welcoming as well. The second picture is of Il Boconocino located in Monterosso Italy. This has the most amazing street food and everything is cooked fresh within 3-5 minutes! This is a must eat! The third picture is a picture of a common thing in Italy called aperitivo. It's usually between the hours of 6:00-8:00/9:00 pm. You go in order a drink, any type of drink and then you can go inside and grab as many plates of appetizers as you want. This is a very common thing in Italy and just walking down you can find plenty of restaurants that have aperitivo! Last but not least is the Mama Cakes. This is a little breakfast place that gives you breakfast vouchers while you are there. They have an assortment of different filled croissants, donuts, and any type of drink you want. I would highly suggest the chocolate donut filled with chocolate (so delicious). The staff is so warm and welcoming here it's such an awesome environment to be apart of.
Drinks
Italy is a fun experience because along with great food, you are also served with great drinks. I've described the Caipiroska drink in my about me page. They are sweet, refreshing, and tasty. The second drink is from Colpi di Timone, they serve all sorts of drinks, in buckets, with fresh fruit, seriously you have to try them. Their staff is friendly, fast, and they play American music so you almost feel like you're back home. I mean expect for the fact that you're by an ocean. The third picture is of the vineyard called Vigne Olcrù. We got to explore and taste their wine on a field trip our last day of class, it was truly an experience of a lifetime. They also have the best wine and that means a lot coming from me because I don't like wine. The fourth picture is of water. Weird, I know. But pay close attention, in Italy there are two types of water, sparkling and natural. ALWAYS go with natural, sparkling water is definitely not great. I also wanted to warn you that you will always have to pay for water.
Gelato
I think the three pictures below say it all. Forget the days where you obsessed over Ben and Jerry's because no ice cream will ever, and I mean EVER, compare to gelato. I have yet to have bad gelato. The best part? There are gelato shops everywhere you turn. It's a dream come true. I would definitely recommend getting chocolate and tiramisu together, YUM!
